On his part, Zetech VC Njenga Munene said the awarded charter will ensure the institution continues with its key mandate. Speaking during the award, Zetech University Chancellor Susan Alfano thanked the government for considering private universities.Īlfano said Zetech will work with other education stakeholders to ensure the success of the higher education sector. Kenyatta awarded the charters on August 2 at the Kakamega State lodge.

The institution was taken through a thorough accreditation process by the Commission For University Education, as per the law.ĬUE checked for adequate facilities, human, library, and financial resources, and if Zetech offers relevant academic programs. Zetech University is among eight institutions awarded a charter by President Uhuru Kenyatta days before he leaves office.
